5. CRACKED or CHIPPED TOOTH
1. Small chip (1-2-mm) in the absence of any symptoms often requires no attention.
A medium sized fracture where you can see the " yellow" part of the tooth and
may be sensitive to air/cold should have a temporary or permanent filling placed
immediately. Long term exposure can cause pulpal inflammation.
2. A large fracture where you can see the inside of the tooth ( the pulp will be red
and maybe bleeding) needs immediate attention
