BROKEN JAW

If after trauma you are unable to put your teeth together in their normal position, jaw fracture has probably occurred. If the traumatic blow was directed at the chin in a back and forward motion the jaw condyles (joint) maybe also fractured

In either case a jaw x-ray with a panographic machine needs to be taken and evaluated by a dentist, oral surgeon, or radiologist as soon as possible and without delay. Often times a condyle fracture is missed on typical " hospital" x-ray machines unless a panographic unit is available.
